We are happy to announce that our drug checking report for the festivals of Osheaga and IleSoniq 2025 is now available.

During these two festivals, 555 people visited our drug checking service and we checked 401 samples.

The three substances that we tested the most were ecstasy/MDMA (256 samples), cocaine (70 samples), and ketamine (18 samples).

We would like to warmly thank all our visitors, as well as our dedicated team, for contributing to making this month a successful period of awareness and harm reduction. We will continue to work tirelessly to provide a safe and reliable service to our community, in the hope that these efforts will help prevent the harms associated with substance use.

In addition, we want to thank the drug checking groups that participated and collaborated with us in our drug checking tent: Spectre de rue (SpekCheck), Pact de rue (Sub Check), Dopamine, and Elixir. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We use three types of analysis technologies: colorimetric reagents, test strips, and infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).

Due to the limitations of our hours and locations of operation, as well as our technologies, the results of our report likely do not represent the true composition of drugs in the unregulated Montreal market.

We are interested in receiving your questions, comments, and suggestions to help improve the presentation of our analysis results. To do so, please contact the service coordination at the following email address: analysis@grip-prevention.ca

We regularly add new service dates on our website, so please check here or call or text us at (438-887-8338) to find out when we are offering substance analysis dates.

Stay safe and informed ;)
